Loaner Equipment Process
Returns
Loaner Equipment no longer used by an instructor/staff member should be returned as soon as possible. The loaner equipment should be returned in operable condition with all parts and accessories. Normal wear and tear on the loaner equipment is expected and will not incur a charge to the borrower. If the loaner equipment is returned in damaged or inoperable condition, the borrower is accountable and will accrue a charge for the full repair or replacement of the equipment. CECSE staff will check the condition of the loaner equipment after it is returned to verify that it is in the agreed upon conditions.
Equipment may only be returned by the borrower. Laptops returned by any other individual will not be accepted by CECSE staff. The check-in process can take up to 15 minutes to complete.
Prior to return, borrower must remove all files, including personal files on the loaner device. CECSE is not responsible for maintaining files left on the loaner equipment upon its return.
A full inspection will be performed within 1 business day after the equipment has been checked in. Any equipment issues found during the inspection process will be communicated to the borrower via email.

The equipment borrower is solely responsible for any loss or damages to the loaner equipment.
In the event that the equipment is damaged, the charge will be the cost of repair, including labor.
